WARNING: This book will contain spoilers for Reborn, and the Shadow Falls series! You have been warned.

Just when Della feels like she’s starting to figure out her life, she finds herself reborn…and her new existence comes with a whole different rulebook.
Della's secret powers always made her feel like an outsider in the human world. Now, just when she’s starting to feel like she belongs—at Shadow Falls, a camp for teens with paranormal powers—her life is turned upside down all over again. Attacked by a deadly virus, she must make the difficult choice to be reborn. It’s her only chance at survival, but it comes with a price: It irreparably bonds her to Chase, a tall, dark and mesmerizing vampire who makes her laugh one minute and infuriates her the next.Chase already knows too many of Della’s secrets, and being eternally bonded to him is the last thing she wants. Even worse, she doesn’t fully understand what their bond means. Is the attraction she’s started feeling for Chase real—or does fate have something else in store? And what does that mean for Steve, the hot shapeshifter whose kisses make her weak in the knees? Now Della’s battered heart is about to take another hit. While investigating her latest case, she discovers shocking evidence about her father’s dark past, making her question everything she believes to be true…and her place in the world she loves.

THIS BOOK FREAKING ROCKS! The main plot has Della and Chase investigating the vampire slave ring that was discovered in Reborn. Della and Chase receive a vision of two newly turned vampire slaves, Natasha and Liam, who are buried alive and are feeding off of each other to survive. Della and Chase have to find and save them before they die. There is a ton of sexual tension between Chase and Della, even though Della repeatedly denies her attraction and the bond to him. It is revealed that Della is hiding her new powers as a Reborn from Kylie and Miranda, as well as mostly everyone else at Shadow Falls. Steve and Della's relationship is adorable, as well as Perry and Miranda's, and when Della found Miranda crying at 3 A.M., it wasn't hard to figure out why.

Characters:
Della: Della goes through a lot of crap in Eternal, from heartbreak, to burying Chan, to discovering secrets about her family, and to her rocky relationship with Chase. Her commentary and POV are hilariously entertaining, especially when it comes to her patented sarcastic snarkiness. She is even more badass now, due to her new Reborn abilities, which definitely come in handy throughout the book. Although Della stubbornly refuses to share her feelings with Kylie and Miranda, she is beginning to warm up to the idea of physical affection with her friends (like hugging - as Della sees, it's impossible to resist hugs from Miranda). Keeping things from her friends is a problem that has continued from the previous books, as it's emotionally destructive for her, and her friends almost always find out what she was hiding anyways, and then get upset with her for keeping it from them. By the end of Eternal, Della seems to be seeing the error of her ways.

Chase: Half the time I liked him, and the other half, I wanted to murder him for all of the lies that he is constantly spewing. The fact that he seems to be able to control his heartbeat when he lies makes it much more difficult to tell whether or not he is being honest. However, Chase does have genuine feelings for Della, even if he spouts crude one-liners to her about his feelings. He and Della have some funny and entertaining adventures in Eternal, and several awkward scenes. Della's comebacks to Chase made me laugh every time. He is dedicated to finding Natasha and Liam, and takes Della's side when she insists to Holiday and Burnett that they are alive. Chase may have lost some of his 'warts,' but he still has a long while to go before he can truly be trusted.

Miranda: Miranda goes through some heartbreak as well in Eternal, and binges on ice cream to try to help her get over it. I was truly onboard the feels train when it came to Miranda (and definitely Della too). She definitely tugged at my heartstrings, especially when it was revealed that Perry hadn't called Miranda at all. Even in the midst of her own heartbreak, Miranda consistently tries to help Della with hers.

Kylie: There wasn't much of Kylie in Eternal, but when she did appear, she was doing her part as a best friend and relationship guru, always trying to help Miranda and Della with what they were going through.

Steve: Although I seriously ship #Stella, Steve was being obnoxious with his over the top jealousy of Della and Chase's bond and their working together. I think he forgot all about the smiley blond girl who HE works with that he was attracted to in Reborn.

Perry: I really like Perry, and I totally ship #Piranda, but in Eternal, he was a real jerk, especially to Miranda. He majorly deserves Miranda's patented kangaroo and pimples hex. 'Nuff said.

Overall, this was a fantastic book! The pacing and character development are amazing, and I went through this book at lightning speed.

It kept getting better and better! A book very well written, C.C. Hunter! My one complaint is that Della is STILL keeping her feelings to herself, despite all of the opportunities she had to share them. After all, what are friends for?

Have a fantastic day everyone!!
